I wanted to share some clips of this movie which I really love. It reminds me of what my mother must have experienced when she stepped onto the shores of New York. Rent it soon My Podcast Alley feed! {pca-8446f776277a3da4a5766cc2586e812b}

I saw this film a long time ago. They have it in VHS, but I found a website where it was in DVD. Anyway, I thought it was interesting how they talked about the race issue and how it compared with Paris and the United States during the early 60s. Enjoy

I have revisited this clip many times. The premise of this clip is the journey my made from the tranquil serenity of Puerto Rico to the loud, cacophony of the big city where she felt alone, alienated and unable to understand the language. I am hoping to get across the feeling in this clip. Please let me know if it works. I appreciate your ideas. Thank you.

The photo is one that was taken on a trip to New York. The train station was Freeman Street...I think. Freeman Street was where I grew up in The Bronx. Wrong
